Could Hormones Be Causing Your Weight Issues?

Picture
If you’ve been steadily gaining weight, and accumulating fat around the hips, thighs and belly, it’s very likely that your hormones are off-balance. Difficulty losing weight, especially stubborn fat around the middle, is one of the many signs of a hormonal imbalance. HCG will help you lose weight, but if your hormones levels are out of whack, you will lose much more slowly and may have difficulty keeping the weight off.  Hormone levels begin to fluctuate as early as our thirties, especially in women. A woman's body requires a delicate balance that can be easily disrupted due to stress, inadequate sleep, poor nutrition, lack of exercise, plus the onslaught of environmental toxins that we are exposed to on a daily basis. Call Jen at Bryce Rx Laboratories 203-359-6323 or toll-free ar 1-800-798-7279.

Picture
In addition to prescription hCG injections, we are thrilled to announce that we now offer prescription hCG as a nasal spray or a cream that is applied to the skin! You now have TWO painless alternatives to hCG injections! Many people have desperately wanted to be part of the life-changing hCG phenomena. Or worse - have driven them to try unproven, unregulated, potentially harmful and NOW ILLEGAL homeopathic hCG drops. Now there are two prescription-only alternative to needles that are as safe and effective as prescription hCG injections. Our prescription hCG nasal spray and transdermal cream was developed by our specialty team of expert pharmacists. These are custom-made exclusively at Bryce Rx Laboratories using only the highest quality prescription-only hCG made by FDA-regulated U.S. manufacturers.

HCG Has an Excellent Safety Record

Although hCG is not currently FDA approved for use as a weight loss medication, it has a long history of safety in its other applications. HCG is used to treat low testosterone levels in men, and infertility in women- and the dose for weight loss is significantly lower than for its other uses. While there are risks associated with any medication, side effects associated with hCG are minimal and complications are rare. Mild side effects that occur in some patients include:
  • pain/irritation at injection site
  • headaches (usually during the first week only)
  • breast tenderness and heavier menses in women

What exactly is hCG?

HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin and it is a 100% natural substance that is present in small amounts in the bodies of both men and women. In pregnant women, very large amounts of HCG are released by the placenta to ensure that the growing fetus receives optimal nutrition from the mother. In the 1950s, Dr Simeons, a physician in Rome, discovered that hCG in small daily doses, along with eating a very specific, low-calorie diet (and avoiding unhealthy fats and sugar), could help patients control hunger and eat less. HCG has been safely used all over the world for over fifty years. It carries a very low incidence of side effects and is completely safe for both men and women.

Dr Simeons' original research was conducted during the 1950s and 60s. Medical knowledge has significantly advanced since Dr Simeons' death in 1970. Specifically in 1994, a key discovery was made. Scientists discovered a protein hormone in adipose tissue (body fat) called leptin that plays a special role in controlling appetite and regulating our bodies' metabolism.(1) HCG stimulates the fat cells in the body to release leptin, causing specific actions in the brain (specifically, the hypothalamus) that directs the body to utilize excess fat stores as a source of fuel and energy. Leptin also acts on the hunger centers in the brain, reducing appetite and decreasing food intake.(2) With HCG, your body burns fat at a very rapid rate. The excess calories from the fat-burning process feed your body, and the release of leptin reduces hunger and makes you feel satisfied eating less food. HCG is available by prescription only and must be prescribed by a physician or Nurse Practitioner.

In December 2011, the FDA and Federal Trade Commission ordered manufacturers and distributers of homeopathic hCG to stop selling their products. It is illegal to purchase any products that contain hCG without a valid prescription. If you are wondering if hCG is for you, the next step is to make an appointment with a physician or Nurse Practitioner who is knowledgeable about HCG.  If you are in our area, we would be happy to have you come in for a FREE consultation. We are conveniently located in Stamford, Connecticut (about 45 miles east of New York City).

Anyone who is considering using hCG should read the manuscript written by Dr Simeons.  It explains his original research into hCG in great detail. A FREE copy of the entire manuscript can be found by clicking here.

Why is hCG so popular?

The answer is simple...HCG WORKS!  News about HCG has been everywhere lately.  It seems like everybody knows somebody who's tried it. It's easy, safe, affordable and it works!

The recent popularity even prompted Dr Oz to do two TV segments on the program a few months ago. Dr Oz was also featured in the popular magazine "First for Women" in their June 27, 2011 issue. Please click here to read the article

Dr Oz recommends that the HCG plan only be done under medical supervision. We couldn't agree more! HCG is easy, safe, affordable and it works, but should never be done without medical supervision. Please visit the "Why Choose Us" page to learn more.

Four Reasons Why HCG is Superior to Other Plans

1) THE BODY BURNS FAT STORES TO PROVIDE THE FUEL IT NEEDS.
It ONLY burns fat, NOT valuable muscle. You are able to maintain a high level of energy, and avoid having the body enter "starvation mode" while eating a very specific low calorie diet. The intense "fat burning" is one of the most positive attributes of the program. You will actually re-shape your body and finally get rid of stubborn areas of fat that are so difficult to lose through diet or exercise alone.

2) HCG REGULATES YOUR BODY'S METABOLISM.
If you do the  protocol properly, without "cheating" or deviating from the program,  your metabolism will be greatly improved. It's like getting a second chance or a "do-over" to correct the damage that poor nutrition, over-eating and/or yo-yo dieting has caused.

3) HCG ACTS AS A NATURAL APPETITE SUPPRESSANT.
You are able to stay on track with minimal hunger. It is the perfect opportunity to lose bad habits and finally eat the right way, learn portion control, and develop a taste for healthier foods.

4) HCG CURBS CRAVINGS FOR SUGAR, CARBOHYDRATES & FATTY FOODS.
This greatly decreases temptations to cheat and increases your chances of success. Once you are on the program and avoiding these foods, you'll find that they will be much less appealing to you. In fact, you will most likely wonder how you "ever ate that way" before.

Even though our Medically Supervised hCG Program is a very effective, you still need to have the motivation and desire to put the effort into it. We will work with you every step of the way to keep you motivated and on track. We really want you to enjoy great success with the program as well as maintain your goal in the future.

What does your program involve?

Our Medically Supervised HCG Program is based on the protocol developed by Dr Simeons. Using a very tiny needle, you inject a small amount of hCG into the subcutaneous tissue (like an insulin shot), or use an hCG-containing nasal spray or topical cream every day for a minimum of 23 days and a maximum of 40 days. During that time, a very specific eating protocol must be followed. The combination of HCG along with a very specific diet can help ideal candidates eat less without excessive hunger or cravings

What about all of the controversy I've heard about hCG?

The FDA has issued the following statement re: hCG for weight loss, "HCG has not been demonstrated to be effective adjunctive therapy in the treatment of obesity. There is no substantial evidence that it increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or "normal" distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restricted diets."

The statement quoted above was issued by the FDA in 1975. This was in response to a handful of studies conducted in the 1960s and 70s.  Needless to say, a lot has changed in medicine since 1975 (except the FDA). The FDA continues to rely on questionable research studies and clinical trials, often conducted by drug manufacturers, to establish the safety and efficacy (effectiveness) of medications and treatments. Here an example of the (flawed) process:
  • A 1998 clinical trial of Vioxx "090" conducted by Merck (makers of Vioxx) reveals serious cardiovascular problems in patients taking Vioxx when compared to patients not taking Vioxx. The study is never published; Merck insisted that it was not large enough to provide definitive data.
  • In 1999, Vioxx is approved by the FDA and by 2003, sales reach $2.5 billion. In 2000, the VIGOR study shows significant cardiovascular problems with Vioxx. For 2-3 years, Merck and the FDA quibble over adding a "warning label" to Vioxx while sales are exploding.
  • In 2004, Merck suddenly pulls Vioxx from the market after results from another study (APPROVe) shows increased risk of cardiovascular problems beginning after 18 months of taking Vioxx.
  • In 2005, a Texas jury finds against Merck and awards $253.4 million to the widow of Robert Ernest, a Walmart employee who died of a heart attack while taking Vioxx.

You can draw your own conclusions from the Vioxx incident. There are several other similar stories involving Meridia (recalled in 2010) and Avandia (still available as of 11/2011, but with significant restrictions). These examples are provided simply to suggest that it may be time to consider additional sources of information when determining a drug's "safety and efficacy." For example, the tens of thousands of unsolicited, real person accounts that detail the positive, life-changing effects that hCG has had on those who have actually used it.

Ignore the nay-sayers and find out for yourself! There are a lot of uninformed "experts" who dismiss hCG as a "fad" or a "hoax." Don't believe everything you read! Those who condemn hCG simply do not understand the science behind it, and have not taken the time to really educate themselves about it, or experience it's life-changing results. Educate yourself and come to your own conclusions!

FALSE:  Any diet that restricts you to 500 calories a day is dangerous and detrimental to your health.
TRUTH: Under close medical supervision, very low calorie protocols are considered safe and effective for short periods of time.  Here is a link to two recent medical research studies that utilized VLCDs (very low calorie diets). The results were incredible!

FALSE: This diet is contrary to medical advice.
TRUTH: Let's think about this - proper medical advice is to consume only your minimum daily caloric requirements for proper health. Your body gets extra calories from your stored excess fat when on the hCG program. You are actually providing your own caloric needs from your fat, which is what medical experts advise you to do in order to lose weight.
Lap band and gastric bypass procedures reduce body weight by imposing similar calorie restrictions, yet these are not against medical advice. Why? Because it is much, much worse to be obese.

FALSE: HCG is only for pregnant woman. It can harm you if you're not pregnant or if you are a male.
TRUTH: HCG has an extraordinary safety record. It has been safely used for decades to treat conditions such as infertility in woman and hypogonadism in men.

FALSE:  Research studies prove that HCG doesn't work any better than a regular 500 calorie diet, it's only a "placebo effect"
TRUTH: The handful of research studies that are available do show mixed results, but they are mostly out-dated, very limited and often did not follow the protocol outlined by Dr Simeons.  The REAL TRUTH lies in the thousands upon thousands of people world-wide who have posted online testimonials praising the positive effects of hCG. Take some time to browse online and look at some of the pictures and videos.  You will see REAL people with incredible results offering unsolicited feedback. It is truly amazing!

THE BIGGEST TRUTH OF THEM ALL:  Obesity is DEADLY and it is KILLING us...
The health risks, psychological and emotional effects, long term medical complications, enormous financial costs, burdon on society, and implications for our future caused by obesity outweigh the risks associated with taking hCG. Some of the "highlights" of the obesity epidemic are discussed below...

The Obesity Epidemic

Obesity has reached epidemic proportions. Right now, it is the biggest health threat our country is facing. The obesity crisis is so serious that health experts warn that this generation of children will be the first EVER IN OUR HISTORY to have a shorter life expectancy than their parents. An estimated 67% of the population is overweight, and 34% of the population is obese. These numbers are increasing at an alarming rate.  The National Centers for Disease Control predicts that one in three U.S. children born after 2000 will develop diabetes in their lifetime, and nearly half of African-American and Hispanic children are likely to develop the disease. (National Centers for Disease Control, 2003).
Picture
Obesity rates have skyrocketed over the past two decades
Obesity rates have increased significantly since 1990. Obesity is not just a matter of aesthetics and appearance. There are very serious health problems associated with being overweight or obese. In 2008, our nation spent $147 billion on obesity related diseases.

  • From 1991-1998 prevalence of obesity increased by 50%
  • Money spent by Advertisers: For every $1 spent on promotion of healthy eating, $45 is spent by fast-food industry (1)
  • The average adult has had a weight gain of  1.1 lbs - 10 lbs/per year over the past 15 years (2)
  • The average person estimates that they eat 30-40% less than they actual do
